Pick and Pallet Workbench

Connect a pick queue and placement proposal with scan confirmation and qualified review.

These images are illustrations of the concept, not screenshots of the actual product.

Overview

The Pick and Pallet Workbench concept explores a warehouse handoff between selecting goods and preparing a load. A floor team needs to know which item to collect, where it is stored and how the collected goods should be arranged. This illustration places the pick queue beside placement suggestions and a pallet view so that picking and packing can be discussed together without treating a drawing as a safety certificate.

The left column lists sample orders and item identifiers with storage locations, quantities and readiness status. A scan-confirmation field and action sit beneath the queue. The center column ranks suggested positions with reasons such as velocity, weight and compatibility, followed by supervisor selection and notes. The right column draws packages on a pallet and labels allowed rotations and clearance. Beneath the drawing, size, weight and clearance cards summarize sample constraints. A prominent qualified-review notice and a proposal disclaimer establish a separate review step before dispatch.

Within MoveTheWheels, the intended workflow would connect warehouse stock references with an accountable packing decision. The visible placement list should not be read as evidence of a complete warehouse travel optimizer or a proven structural model. Rotation and dimension checks can identify simple fit constraints, while trained staff still need to assess load stability, securing and the actual handling conditions. The illustration uses invented quantities and package identifiers. Its clearance and weight badges are examples of a proposed interface, not certification of a real pallet, container, vehicle or verified gross mass. The operator's review remains distinct from accepting a geometric suggestion.

What this concept shows

Pick and Pallet Workbench

Connect a pick queue and placement proposal with scan confirmation and qualified review.

This illustration shows a three-column Pick and Pallet Workbench. A pick queue lists order, item, location, quantity and readiness, with a barcode input and confirmation action below. The center contains ranked placement suggestions and reason badges, followed by a supervisor approval form. On the right, a pallet drawing shows labeled packages, allowed rotations and clearance markers. Summary cards describe sample dimensions and weight. The page explicitly requires qualified packing review and identifies the layout as a proposal rather than safety certification. The illustrated placement reasons do not establish an optimized warehouse route or certified load stability.
