Late events are kept as evidence and never silently rewind the record

Keep status honest when a late update arrives

A freight operations coordinator receives an older tracking update after a newer one: the goods were delivered, and then an update arrives saying they are in transit. Without care, the record would rewind.

In MoveTheWheels accepting evidence and changing status are separate decisions. An authorised operator chooses which source has authority over the status, the event it is based on, a maximum source age and the clock tolerance allowed. An update from a different source, an older source time or an implausible time is kept as evidence with a held status decision, never applied silently.

Manual corrections keep their reason and the earlier evidence, and put automatic updates on hold until the hold is cleared. If the record changed while a form was open, the coordinator's input is kept and the latest status is shown for review first. Everyone reading the consignment sees what is true, and why.
