Preview a pallet arrangement from supplied measurements

Fictional not-to-scale arrangement from declared measurements; geometric proposal only. The pictured layout is illustrative.

A warehouse planner has measurements for four packages and a pallet. She enters the package dimensions, quantity and mass, records the source reference and version, and explicitly permits upright handling and yaw. Blank measurements remain unknown.

She adds the pallet dimensions and tare, any supplied ratings, additional packing and clearances, then selects Preview arrangement. The preview keeps requested and placed quantities separate and shows the exact mass of the whole requested load, including units that have not been placed.

In this fictional example, four packages of 2000 g give an 8000 g payload. Adding the pallet's 10000 g tare gives 18000 g gross. The illustration's not-to-scale 2×2 arrangement shows a possible layout; the deterministic shelf method may return a different arrangement.

The planner reviews seven bounded checks alongside seven questions that remain unknown: packing geometry, handling, securing, stability, floor support, loading path and cargo compatibility. A method that finds no layout has not proved that every arrangement is impossible. Editing a measurement clears the old preview so its result cannot be mistaken for the new input.

Declared sources are not independent verification, and a geometric proposal does not authorize loading or establish physical readiness. Explore the Sourced Pallet Preview concept.
