A load planner has two reported observations for one interval: distance travelled and liquid fuel consumed. The concept places them side by side with their measurement bases, declared coverage and source reference revisions. Blank fuel remains unknown rather than becoming zero.
In the fictional illustration, twenty kilometres and three litres cover the same complete one-hour UTC interval. Selecting Preview consumption gives approximately 15.00 L/100 km. The arithmetic appears beside an Operator-reported, unverified notice: a source label and a measured basis are declarations, not independent verification.
Partial coverage, different intervals, estimated consumption and purchased or refuelled volume do not establish a consumption ratio. Explicit zero fuel with otherwise qualifying positive distance gives 0.00; a tiny positive ratio displays <0.01 instead of being rounded to zero. Editing an observation or changing context must mask an older result until a matching read completes.
This is a read-only comparison, without saved records, purchase inference, a fleet rating or a claim of achieved savings. It grants no operational or safety authority. Explore the Consumed Fuel Interval Preview concept.
